Welcome to our blog!!!

Welcome to our blog site. We will use this blog to share ideas with each other and to share with the world a view of our experiences and our lives at MICDS in Geometry class.

Our first blog involves the establishing of expectations for our year. I have posted an expectations document on our class portal page in the Expectations channel. This document provides information on many of the details related to class - supplies needed, how grades are calculated, how to make up a quiz of you are absent, etc. Understand that this document cannot reflect every situation and answer every question that will come up this year. Thus, this expectations document is a living and working document that will likely be edited and updated throughout the year.

In addition to the detail-based expectations posted on the portal, I also begin the year - and so should you - with a set of expectations at a level higher than homework, grades, and supplies. To me, these are things like how we are going to treat each other and how we are going to work as individuals and as a group to create an environment in which we can share ideas, solve problems, and work together to meet goals.

For our first blog activity, I would like you to visit the portal and read the expectations document. Once you have finished the reading, return to this page and post a comment. Your comment should answer two questions:

1. What expectation jumped out to you as the most important or the one you are going to work the hardest to meet?

2. If you had to create an expectation for our class and add it to the document I created, what would your expectation be?

When you have finished your comment, make sure to click on “Publish your Comment”. Also, do not forget to email me from the link at the top of our blog home page. Your email should simply acknowledge that you have completed the blog assignment. Thanks.

1.)The expectation that I am going to work the hardest to meet is to review material as often as possible and to always do my homework!

2.)I think the most important expectation for our class would be to always help each other when we need it.

1. I agree with Annie in the aspect of double checking our homework and school work. Also i will work very hard to get my assignments in on time.

2. The most important objective for our class to achieve is helping out each other and being respectful of our classmate's questions and answers.

1. I think that making sure I get my homework in on time will be key, because for every day I miss my score drops very fast and could affect my grade negatively.

2. I think one expectation that should be added would be that everyone in the class is expected to ask for help from a friend or from Mr. Muskopf if they are struggling or are confused.

1. The expectation that will be the hardest for me to meet will be to show all my work on my homework.

2. If I could add an expectation to the list, it would be to always pay attention in class so we will completely understand our homework.

1) The most important expectation in my opinion is to always ask questions when I am confused because that will allow me to complete my homework and quizzes without confusion.

2) I agree with Tommy in the sense that our class should work together as a group and help each other out when one of us has a problem. This will make our class an easier learning environment.

1. I feel that the expectation that I am going to work the hardest to achieve is going to be doing all of my homework and doing it well while showing all of my work.

2. I think the most important expectation that we need to achieve as a class would be, always be possitive, always have something possitive to say versus negative.

1)I agree with Annie and also staying organized because if you know me i could be a pretty unorganized person and if i stay organized it will help me turn in my homework on time and strive for the 4.0 gpa

2)to come together as a class and learn more about our world that contains geometry and use different techniques to help us strive to learn and understand the concepts.

1) I am going to work on completing the recommended quiz and test corrections, which will be the hardest expectation for me to achieve.

2) I believe we should add consulting Mr. Muskopf out of class if we need extra help.

1. The expectation that I believe will be the hardest to meet will probably be asking questions when I do not understand a certain topic in class.
2. The most important goal for our class would be to grow as a group so we understand each other and are able to help in each situation.

1. The expectation I found most important and one that I will try my best to do, is to simply complete my homework on time. I will give effort into making it as correct as possible. I also thought that the test corrections, even when your grade is higher than a 70 could be very helpful to do.

2. Another expectation that could be added is to find time to meet with Mr.Muskopf if we have any additional questions or concerns about the material

1)The expectation that jumped out at me as important was late work, because it goes down a letter grade each time. I will work the hardest to correct all my quiz corrections and ask questions when I don't understand something.

2)I think another expectation to add to the document would be to try your hardest, meaning not giving up and asking for help before you have tried a problem.

1) Like many others I am going to work hard on showing my work on my homework as well as turning it in on time. Also I think I could working on always completing quiz corrections, even if I don't have to, just so I can better understand the questions I may have gotten wrong.

2)For our class as a whole I think the biggest thing is to respect others questions and ideas. I think our class can grow and learn together if we all help each other.

The expectation I am going to work on the most is being able to turn in all my homework on time so I am eligible for extra credit. This will be difficult but I am sure i can accomplish it.

One expectation I would add is talking to the teacher if I am confused or need help on homework. I would add this because it helps us learn how to get help and not being afraid to ask.
